Operations Processor

About the Role

AVTAV is proud to be working in partnership with DHL Express, one of the world's leading international logistics providers, to recruit Operations Processors for their Huntingdon operation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced logistics environment supporting the movement of time-critical shipments across the UK and worldwide. As an Operations Processor, you will play a key role in ensuring parcels and freight are processed accurately, safely and efficiently to support DHL's global delivery network.

Role Responsibilities

The role may include:

• Scanning incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Sorting parcels and freight into designated locations.

• Processing shipments through operational scanning systems.

• Loading, unloading and moving shipments safely.

• Preparing consignments for onward transportation.

• Identifying and escalating shipment discrepancies where required.

• Ensuring all freight is processed in line with company procedures.

• Supporting colleagues and supervisors in achieving operational targets.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

In addition, all employees are expected to:

• Follow company procedures and operational requirements.

• Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Work effectively as part of a team.

• Follow all Health & Safety procedures.

• Maintain a professional and positive attitude.

• Support colleagues and management in achieving operational objectives.

Technical Skills & Experience

Only include where relevant:

• Previous warehouse experience.

• Parcel sorting or freight handling experience.

• Experience using handheld scanners.

• Experience working within a fast-paced logistics environment.

• Manual handling experience.

• Experience working to operational deadlines and performance targets.

• Basic computer literacy.

Previous logistics, warehouse or distribution experience would be beneficial but is not essential unless specifically stated above.

Aviation Security & Compliance Requirements

As this role supports a logistics operation connected to the aviation supply chain, successful applicants may be required to complete security screening and compliance checks.

These may include:

• Right to Work verification.

• Five-year employment history verification.

• UK criminal record check.

• International criminal record checks where applicable.

• Aviation security training where required.

All required vetting and training will be coordinated by AVTAV as part of the onboarding process.
