Operations Agent

About the Role

AVTAV is proud to be working in partnership with DHL Express, one of the world's leading international logistics providers, to recruit Operations Agents for their Belfast operation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced logistics environment where accuracy, customer service and operational efficiency are essential. As an Operations Agent, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth movement of shipments through the DHL network whilst ensuring high standards of service and compliance are maintained.

Role Responsibilities

The role may include:

• Processing shipment documentation and operational paperwork.

• Tracking and monitoring shipments throughout the DHL network.

• Investigating shipment queries and resolving discrepancies.

• Updating internal systems with accurate operational information.

• Liaising with drivers, warehouse teams and customer service departments.

• Supporting daily operational planning and administration activities.

• Assisting with customer enquiries relating to shipments and deliveries.

• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and service standards.

In addition, all employees are expected to:

• Follow company procedures and operational requirements.

• Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Work effectively as part of a team.

• Follow all Health & Safety procedures.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Previous administration experience.

• Previous logistics or transport experience.

• Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment.

• Strong data entry and computer literacy skills.

• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience using warehouse, logistics or transport management systems.

• Customer service experience.

• Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Previous logistics, administration or customer service experience is beneficial but not essential unless specifically stated above.

Aviation Security & Compliance Requirements

As this role supports a logistics operation connected to the aviation supply chain, successful applicants may be required to complete security screening and compliance checks.

These may include:

• Right to Work verification.

• Five-year employment history verification.

• UK criminal record check.

• International criminal record checks where applicable.

• Aviation security training where required.

All required vetting and training will be coordinated by AVTAV as part of the onboarding process.
