Loading Operative

Role Responsibilities

The role may include:

·Loading and unloading catering equipment, meals, beverages and inflight supplies onto vehicles.

·Safely lifting and moving catering carts, containers and other equipment.

·Preparing and loading orders for delivery to the airport in accordance with schedules.

·Checking goods against loading documentation to ensure accuracy.

·Securing loads to prevent damage during transportation.

·Assisting with unloading returned equipment and supplies.

·Receiving, handling and storing incoming goods correctly.

·Supporting stock movement and warehouse operations.

·Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

·Following all manual handling procedures and safe lifting techniques.

In addition, all employees are expected to:

·Follow company procedures and operational requirements.

·Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

·Work effectively as part of a team.

·Follow all Health & Safety procedures.

·Maintain a professional and positive attitude.

·Support colleagues and management in achieving operational objectives.

Essential Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

·Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends where required.

Technical Skills, Licences & Experience

·Previous experience in loading, warehouse, logistics, distribution or airport operations is desirable.

·Experience handling goods safely and accurately is beneficial.

·Knowledge of manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices is advantageous.

·Understanding of Health & Safety procedures within warehouse or logistics environments is beneficial.

·Previous experience in a physically demanding role is preferred but should only be listed as essential where specifically required by the client.

Compliance & Security Requirements

Depending on the nature of the role, successful applicants may be required to complete pre-employment screening and compliance checks.

These may include:

·Employment history verification.

·Criminal record checks.

·International criminal record checks where applicable.

·Aviation security training where required.

Where applicable, training, vetting and compliance checks will be coordinated by AVTAV as part of the onboarding process.
