HGV Class 1 Driver

AVTAV is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to support one of our clients operating at Heathrow Airport. This is a great opportunity to join a busy 24-hour operation, supporting the movement of air freight between airside, landside and bonded warehouse locations.

Location: Heathrow

Salary: £20.00 – £21.00 per hour

Job Type: Full Time, Ongoing Positions

Hours:

40+ hours per week, working a rotating shift pattern including night shifts. Flexibility is required as shift patterns may vary depending on operational requirements.

Pay Rates:

• Day shift - £20.00 ph
• Night shift - £21.00 ph

The Role:

• Transporting cargo, including pallets, containers and bulk freight
• Moving freight between airside, landside and warehouse locations
• Supporting warehouse and operational teams with the loading and unloading of vehicles
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, securely and in line with operational procedures
• Communicating effectively with warehouse and operational teams

Requirements:

• Previous airport or air freight experience is desirable, but not essential
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Strong focus on safety and security
• Flexibility to work within a 24-hour operation
• Maximum of 6 minor points on the licence
• Minimum of 1 year class 1 driving experience
• Driving & Writing Assessment
