Construction Supervisor

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experiencedconstruction professional to join a busy site environment and play a key rolein supervising construction activities, coordinating site teams, maintaininghealth and safety standards, and ensuring works are completed efficiently andto the required standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supportingthe day-to-day running of site activities, coordinating operatives andsubcontractors, and working closely with site management and other projectstakeholders.

Role Responsibilities

The role may include:

* Supervising construction activities and site personnel ona day-to-day basis.

* Coordinating and allocating work to site operatives andsubcontractors.

* Monitoring progress of works and ensuring activities arecompleted in accordance with project requirements.

* Ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and tothe required quality standards.

* Supporting Site Managers and Project Managers with thedelivery of construction activities.

* Monitoring site attendance, productivity, and workforcerequirements.

* Ensuring workers follow site rules, RAMS, permits, andother relevant procedures.

* Conducting or supporting toolbox talks and site briefingswhere required.

* Identifying and reporting hazards, defects, delays, andother site issues.

* Liaising with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, andother site personnel.

* Checking that materials, tools, plant, and equipment areavailable and suitable for planned works.

* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and siteorganisation.

* Supporting inspections and ensuring corrective actions arefollowed up.

* Maintaining accurate site records and reporting relevantinformation to site management.

* Ensuring all construction activities comply withapplicable Health & Safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

* Valid CSCS Gold Card relevant to the role.

* Previous experience working in a construction supervisoryposition.

* Experience supervising construction operatives,subcontractors, or site teams.

* Good understanding of construction site Health &Safety requirements.

* Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively withsite teams and management.

* Strong organisational and leadership skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-pacedconstruction environment.

* Good attention to detail.

* Reliable, punctual, and professional approach.

* Ability to identify and report site hazards and issues.

* A proactive approach to resolving day-to-day sitechallenges.

* Good verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Skills, Licences & Experience

* Valid CSCS Gold Card appropriate to the position.

* Previous construction supervisory experience is required.

* Knowledge of construction methods, site procedures, andHealth & Safety requirements.

* Experience working with RAMS, permits, toolbox talks, andsite documentation is desirable.

* Experience working on large-scale construction projects isdesirable.

* Experience working within an airport or other highlyregulated environment would be advantageous.

* Additional construction-related qualifications or relevantsupervisory qualifications are desirable.
